Man Robs Waco Business

Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) -- The Waco Police need your help finding a man that robbed a local business on Wednesday.

At 2 p.m., officers were called to the Park Lake Gift shop in the 1900 block of Park Lake Drive.

An attendant of the shop said a man came into the store and walked around as if he was shopping. She said that after a few minutes, the suspect pulled a knife, put it to her throat, and demanded money.

After the suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of money, the attendant proceeded to run outside and screamed for help.

The owner of the Tobacco Shop, located next to the gift shop, came out and ran after the suspect with his pistol.

The suspect turned and pointed what was believed to be a pistol at the Tobacco Shop owner and continued running.

He was last seen getting into the passenger side of a black Mitsubishi.

The suspect is described to be a very dark complected male, in his mid-20s, 6'0", 250 pounds, wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans.

If you have any information about this suspect, you are urged to contact police.
