Tyler man wins $1 million Powerball prize

AUSTIN (KYTX) – Carlos Gean of Tyler claimed a $1 million Powerball® prize at his local Texas Lottery ® claim center. He purchased a Quick Pick ticket at the Lynch Food Store (3400 E. 5th St., Tyler) for the Powerball drawing held Aug. 24. That ticket matched all of the numbers drawn (12-17-25-45-59) except for the Powerball (19), making it worth $1 million before taxes.

The Powerball game is played by picking five numbers from one to 59 and a Powerball number
from one to 35. Overall odds of winning any
Powerball prize are one in 32, and the odds of winning the $1 million second-tier prize are one in 5,153,633.
