We live in the South, so some of us may have a Southern accent, but would you consider saying "goodbye" to "howdy, y'all"?
The Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee was going to offer a speech class for it's workers next month to do just that, until it got canceled.

TYLER (KYTX) – Donning his cowboy boots, hat and big shiny belt buckle, it's easy to see why Kendall says he enjoys the country life.

"I'd like to live on a farm with lots of animals," he said. I asked him about his blue cowboy boots sporting a silver spider on the front. "I got them for my birthday," he said proudly.

"Kendall is my little cowboy, in training," said Tara Biggers, with Child Protective Services. "He loves horses. He is taking horse back riding lessons."

Kendall describes himself as "quiet and happy." He's also inquisitive, funny and

easy going. He likes school, but will need a little extra help with homework.

"I'm going into the second-grade," he said. And he does well staying active.

"I go to church and I used to play soccer and if I get to I want to play soccer again."

Kendall is thrilled about the possibility of adoption. "You get to go outside by yourself," he said excitedly.

He needs a family who will help him transition into this next phase of his life.

"Somebody who is going to be very patient with him, cause he's been through a lot," said Biggers.

He would do best as the only or youngest child in a family. "Just so he can have that attention," said Biggers.

And he hopes for a forever family who will love him for who he is. Kendall said,

"I want them to know that I'm good."

A good boy, with a big grin and dimples that just make you want to smile with him.
