UPDATE: Thursday Lane Closures in West and Salado

UPDATE: 10:30 a.m., Sept. 12, 2013 -- The full lane closures planned for Thursday in Salado have been postoned due to recent rain in the area.

The work has been rescheduled for Tuesday, September 17.

 


 

(KCEN) -- You can expect construction delays if you're traveling on some parts of I-35 on Thursday.

The Texas Department of Transportation says two main lane closures are planned for Thursday night.

One will be in West and one in Salado.

TxDOT released this information about the closings:

WEST

Thursday, September 12, 2013, several short-term single-lane closures are planned for the overnight hours near West, beginning at 7 p.m. and ending at 7 a.m. The first closure will begin near County Line Rd. (exit 355) and end between County Line Rd. And FM 2114/Oak St., near mile marker 352. The work will begin with a right-lane closure, and conclude with closure of the left lane.

 

Salado

On Thursday, September 12, from 7:00 p.m. to approximately 1:00 a.m. Friday morning, all northbound main lanes near FM 2484 in Salado will be closed. Northbound traffic will detour off the freeway at Exit #286 (FM 2484) to the frontage road and reenter the main lanes just south of Amity Road. In addition, the northbound-side frontage road will be closed to through traffic and open to local traffic only, between Salado Plaza Drive and FM 2484, during the same hours as the main lane closure.

At approximately 11:00 p.m. Thursday night until 7:00 a.m. Friday morning, all southbound main lanes near FM 2484 in Salado will also be closed. Southbound traffic will detour off the freeway at Exit #286 (FM 2484) to the frontage road and reenter the main lanes at the first on-ramp south of FM 2484. During the same hours , the southbound-side frontage road will be closed to through traffic (open to local traffic only) between Amity Road and FM 2484.

FM 2484 will also be closed to traffic crossing over I-35 starting at 6:00 p.m. Thursday evening, until 7:00 a.m. Friday morning.
