Tickets on sale to see Mercy Me at LETU

LONGVIEW (KYTX) — Tickets are now on sale for the contemporary Christian band MercyMe concert at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, at LeTourneau University's S.E. Belcher Concert and Performance Center, 2100 Mobberly Ave. in Longview.

The band's 2013 tour follows its seventh studio album, The Hurt and the Healer, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's 2012 Top Christian Album chart.

Concert tickets range in price from $18 to $45, plus applicable fees, and may be purchased online at the Belcher Center website or by calling (903) 233-3080.

After nearly 20 years of performing, MercyMe has won seven Gospel Music Association Dove Awards and topped the Billboard Christian Songs chart with 13 top-five singles, seven of which reached No. 1. In 2010, MercyMe won its second American Music Award for Contemporary Inspirational Artist. The band's first release, Almost There, went double platinum. The album included the hit song, "I

Can Only Imagine," the first Christian song to reach over a million downloads. MercyMe also released a single platinum video album and four gold albums.
