LONGVIEW (KYTX) - A Laredo woman is in the Gregg County Jail after DPS troopers said she had about 221 pounds of marijuana in her truck.

Cynthia Elizabeth Palomo, 34, is being held on $50,000 bond, charged with second-degree felony marijuana possession. According to a Justice of the Peace record, Trooper Benjamin Rolison stopped a 2013 white Nissan Altima on interstate 20 heading east near mile marker 597 Because it was driving in the left lane while not passing another vehicle Just before 11 PM Monday.

During a traffic stop, Rolison smelled a strong odor of raw marijuana from inside the vehicle and noticed that palomo was nervous. During a probable cause search of the Altima, the trooper found 11 bundles of a marijuana Weighing about 221 pounds.

According to e-stoned.com, it has a street value of between $265,200 and $663,000, depending on the quality of the marijuana.
