ETX volunteers continue to help with victims of Colorado floods

(KYTX) - Happening now East Texas Red Cross volunteers continuing to help those affected by the severe flooding in Colorado.

Rescue teams are shifting their focus from emergency airlifts to locating the hundreds of people still unaccounted for.  
 
Colorado state leaders say the count has dropped to about 580 people missing,  and the number continues to decrease as the stranded get in touch with their families

"Many of them are going to be able to get back in there areas today.  They won't be able to stay there, but they'll be able to go to their homes." 

"Everybody has come together to try and help each other.  It's a real community feeling here."

There have been six flood-related deaths, and two women who are missing and presumed dead.  
 
Raging flood waters have severely damaged several major roads and bridges throughout Colorado.
