Alleged Burglary Ring Broken Up in Waco

Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) -- An alleged burglary ring was broken up in Waco on Tuesday.

Police received a call about a burglary Monday morning from Texas Star Auto Repair on Franklin Avenue.

Investigators had been working auto burglaries in the same area the entire night.

Power tools, car stereos, and radiators that could be sold for scrap were the main things taken.

On Tuesday, someone called police saying they saw people loading items through a hotel window on Franklin Avenue and that they thought it looked suspicious.

When police arrived, they discovered the items were the stolen goods from the auto burglaries and repair shop burglary.

Officials were able to get some of those stolen items back to the rightful owners, including a Suburban that was taken.

Stephanie Martin, Curtis Fields, and Christopher Cornett were arrested and remain in the McLennan County Jail.
