Health Alert: Low testosterone linked to heart problems

Posted: Updated:

(CBS) - British researchers analyzed nearly two dozen studies and found people who take antidepressants are more likely to have type 2 diabetes.

They caution this is only an association and not direct proof the drugs cause the disease.

(CBS) - Men with low testosterone may have a slightly higher risk of heart disease.

Researchers in Belgium who conducted the study say they don't know why.

They also say giving these men testosterone replacement doesn't seem to reverse the risk.

(CBS) - A new study finds calcium supplements improve bone health in older women, but vitamin D supplements may not.

New York researchers say women who get enough vitamin d from their diet will not benefit from taking more.
