Web Exclusive: Big Tex makes his return to State Fair

(CNN/CBS) - After months of self imposed silence, Lamar Odom is speaking out. He took to his twitter page to defend the Kardashian clan and trash his birth father. This comes after "Radar Online" published an interview with his estranged father who bashed Lamar's wife, Khloe and the rest of the Kardashian family. Khloe and Lamar have been bombarded recently with rumors and speculation about their marriage falling apart and a drug problem.

Melissa Joan Hart is explaining it all in a new memoir. The former Nickelodeon child star, also famous for her portrayal as "Sabrina the Teenage Witch," gives a sneak peek of her upcoming tell-all to Life & Style Magazine. Hart opens up about a not-so-wholesome side to her girl-next-door image, revealing past exploits experimenting with ecstasy at the Playboy mansion and, according to Life & Style, fesses up to past make out sessions with celebrity heart throbs like Jerry O'Connell and Backstreet Boy Nick Carter.

The State Fair of Texas kicks off tomorrow with the return of an icon. At last year's fair, the famous "Big Tex" animatronic statue caught fire and was destroyed. Big Tex and his booming voice had spent the previous 60 years welcoming visitors to Fair Park in Dallas. Investigators later determined the fire started with an electrical short. No one was hurt except for Big Tex, of course. The good news, fair organizers have rebuilt Big Tex, and they'll unveil the new and improved version at 2:00 Friday afternoon.

Oracle Team USA is celebrating winning the America's Cup Yachting race after a stunning comeback Wednesday. The team had trailed in the competition 8 to 1, but they managed to tie it up 8-8 Tuesday. Wednesday, they won the final race against Emirates team New Zealand by 44 seconds, to pull out a 9-8 win. Oracle team USA might have won even sooner, but two of its victories were scratched, because it was deemed to have illegally modified its boat.
