Technology

Pine Tree ISD's technology initiative features the results of the technology infrastructure upgrades provided by the Bond 2011.  Funds from the bond replaced the district Wide Area Network with business class components and a true core switch enabling greatly enhanced gigabit connectivity. These upgrades paved the way to provide each campus with a robust wireless infrastructure to support a variety of mobile devices on all campuses. The goal of the PowerOnPT initiative is to equip all students with optimal access and success in using the tools of the 21st century.

Freshman students and parents will hear about the details of the 1:1 iPad distribution in information meetings in the HS library, starting at 4:00 PM, 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM.  An Innovation Fair is scheduled for the Spring to showcase other technology projects.
