Police: Three people arrested on drug, weapons charges in Kilgore

KILGORE (KYTX) - Below is a small selection of calls for service our Department has addressed over the last week:

Officers responded to the 400 block of Pine Burr Lane due to suspicious persons smoking marijuana. Upon arrival police located three subjects one of which was found to be armed with a pistol grip 12 gauge shotgun hidden underneath a "hoodie" sweatshirt. Another subject was found to be armed with a 9mm handgun. The shotgun was determined to be stolen out of Longview. All parties were arrested. One of the parties was found to have a street gang affiliation. No other information has been released.

Also, Kilgore police this past week:

Observed two individuals smoking narcotics in a vehicle with a metal pipe. Both arrested.

Responded to a person with mental health issues who was hallucinating and hearing voices. Police were able to assist EMS in transportation to hospital.

Responded to persons running electrical cord to adjacent residence from vacant residence. Two subjects found in vacant residence. Criminal Trespass warnings issued to both.

Responded to a call from subject who claimed a snake was living in her mattress and making noises keeping them awake for over year. Police determined the person suffered from mental health issue.

Took a 15 year old into custody for possession of 5.1 grams of methamphetamine.

Assisted stranded motorist with dead battery

Found juveniles riding golf carts and racing on city streets. Juveniles were located and activity was stopped.

Responded to a report of harassment by person who told police an ex- companion had placed a personal ad on Craig's list which generated numerous unwelcomed telephone calls.

    UPDATE: An East Texas mother's bond is now set at $2 million dollars. Stacie Marie Parsons was arraigned in the Henderson Co. jail this morning. She is charged with the capital murder of her 4 year old daughter.More >>
