Posted: Updated:

UPDATE: Tuesday, Oct 1, 2013, 5:00 p.m. -- A body was discovered early this afternoon behind Clarke Elementary School on Fort Hood.

Fort Hood officials confirmed the body of a 14-year-old male student found behind the school.

The body was found by a teacher who immediately notified police.

The school was then put on lockdown until it was determined that there was not a threat to students or staff at the school. The lockdown was lifted and school returned to normal status.

The area has been taped off while officials continue to investigate.

The parents of the boy reported the boy missing earlier on Tuesday along with a weapon from the home.

No further information was released due to the ongoing investigation.

(KCEN) -- Clarke Elementary School on Fort Hood has been put on lockdown.

Officials told KCEN that Clarke had to be put on a lockdown due to an incident.

They also said that students and staff are not in any danger and that it is a procedural lockdown.

Crime tape has been put up and military police are at the school, but there has been no word yet to what has happened.
