UPDATE :Body found off I-20 in Harrison County identified

HARRISON COUNTY (KYTX) - Harrison County Investigators have now notified the known family of the homicide victim that was found on I-20 and FM 450 on October 7, 2013. The victim is 51 -year-old Lilllian Desiree Descoteau, and her Texas driver's license has an Irving, Texas address as her residence.

Investigators are asking for anyone who may have had any contact with the victim, or may have seen her at any location, to please contact the Harrison County Sheriff's Office. All information will be considered confidential or information may be given anonymously to Crimestoppers at 903-935-9969. 

The cause of death has not been determined, and is being listed as a homicide and is being investigated as such.


HARRISON COUNTY (KYTX) - Authorities in Harrison County are investigating a body found shortly after 1 p.m. Monday off I-20 as a homicide pending autopsy results.

According to Jay Webb with the Harrison County Sheriffs Office, two truck drivers discovered the body near the eastbound entrance ramp of I-20 at FM 450. The truckers had pulled off the highway to check their tires.

Webb says it appears the body is woman approximately 30-40 years old with short blonde hair, no tattoos or visible identifying characteristics lying on her back approximately 8 feet from the roadway. The victim was clothed in only a light blue pullover top and a white bra.

The deceased victim appears to have been at the location for approximately 6-10 hours.The body has been sent to a forensics lab in Tyler to determine the identify of the woman and the exact cause of death.
