Update: Statement released in man's death at Priefert plant in Mt. Pleasant

(KYTX) - Sources tell CBS19 a man died after an incident at a ranch equipment manufacturer in Mount Pleasant late Wednesday afternoon.  

Mount Pleasant Fire Department was first to respond to the incident at Priefert Ranch Manufacturing. 

Captain Randy Wisinger tells CBS19 when they arrived on the scene CPR was already being performed on the man.

The man was taken to Titus Regional Hospital where sources tell us he later died.

The man's name and the nature of the incident are not being released. CBS19 will bring you more information as it becomes available.

 

Statement Released:

"It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that I make this announcement. Curtis Guest was found unresponsive by co-workers yesterday afternoon. Emergency medical steps were taken immediately and EMS called to the scene.

EMS continued attempts at resuscitation. Mr. Guest passed away later at the hospital. He was an electrician and has worked for Priefert Manufacturing for 12 years. Please pray for his family during this time of mourning."
