4 People found shot dead In Paris, Texas (UPDATE)

PARIS, TEXAS (CBS) - Four gunshot victims were found in the front room of the house on 435 NE 6th street, in Paris, Texas. So far there are no witnesses, but investigators have talked to two men who police say were in the house earlier that evening.

Officials have released the identity of the victims. They are Paris residents Romello Dewain Steward, Devante Larry Atkins, Brijonne Rashad Woods, and Garland Resident Billy Charles Carey.

PARIS, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) - Four people were shot and killed in the Northeast Texas city of Paris late Wednesday night.

According to Officer Curtis Garrett with the Paris Police Department, a call shortly before 11:30 p.m. reported that shots had been fired at a home in the 400 block of Northeast Sixth Street. When authorities arrived at the scene, four victims were found dead, all with gunshot wounds.

The names and ages of the victims have not yet been released.


Police are treating the case as a homicide, but have not given any information about possible suspects at this point.

Paris is located about 100 miles northeast of Dallas. The city is home to around 25,000 people.
