We live in the South, so some of us may have a Southern accent, but would you consider saying "goodbye" to "howdy, y'all"?
The Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee was going to offer a speech class for its workers next month to do just that, until it got canceled.

(KXAS) -- Former Cowboys Deion Sanders is out of the organization at the charter school he helped found.

According to a press release posted on the Prime Prep Academy webpage, Sanders "is no longer an employee or representative for Prime Prep Academy," as of Thursday, Oct. 10.

Though specific reasons for the decision were not noted on the website, a statement by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Uplift Fort Worth, the governing body of Prime Prep Academy, said he supported the decision.

"It is commonly known that Mr. Sanders is a co-founder and has served as an ambassador and employee of the school since its establishment. His positive contribution is appreciated and regarded as a laudable example. The school family wishes Mr. Sanders much success in his future endeavors," T. Christopher Lewis, Chairman, said in the statement.

Sanders got into a "scuffle" with school administrator Kevin Jefferson on the grounds of the Dallas campus on Wednesday that was recorded on a police report as an assault.

Sanders told NBC 5 on Thursday the two "locked up and separated" in front of a number of witnesses after having an argument over student progress at the school.

The police report details a more violent confrontation, with the administrator claiming Sanders "grabbed him by the collar and pushed him into a wall." Jefferson went to the hospital after the confrontation to be checked out.

Sanders claims he was "sticking up for the students" at the school and that no punches were thrown.

This is the latest trouble for the school. After it was first announced by Sanders in 2012, Prime Prep battled accusations of recruiting student athletes to the school, then fought over the eligibility of certain players before pulling out of the University Interscholastic League entirely last November.
