Update: Two East Texans arrested for death of infant indicted by Grand Jury

UPDATE: An Angelina Grand Jury has indicted two Houston-Area teens on murder charges in connection with the October death of their "severely emaciated" 8-week-old baby.


19-year-old Isaiah Tolliver and 18-year-old Dequisha Jackson were indicted for first-degree murder for "recklessly causing the death of their son Imauri by providing inadequate nutrition, fluids and/or medical care.

It will be up to the District Attorney's Office to pursue one of the following three charges for trial: murder, injury to a child, or child endangerment.

LUFKIN ( KYTX) - Two people are jailed in connection with the death of an infant.

Police arrested 18 -year-old Dequisha Jackson and 19-year-old Isaiah Tolliver for the offense of Endangering a Child, a State Jail Felony.

According to an arrest affidavit, the two-month old was severely malnourished and weighed 5.6 pounds when he died.

The pair was arrested Wednesday at a their residence, located at 1506 Williams Street.  The arrest was completed without incident and they were transported to Angelina County Jail.
