In households across the country, the sound of clicking computer keys are ever present. It's those activities that has prompted the Department of Homeland Security to make an effort to educate the public on the ever changing threats people expose themselves to online. A major threat is against children.

Experts say it is great to monitor your children's cyber life, but it's a bigger plus to have a set in foundation on internet safety.

Experts with savvycyberkids.org say creating a strong foundation is best achieved by teaching cyber safety to children by the time they are five years old.

The foundation tips: don't say where you live and don't tell your real name.

Experts say with children logging on at younger ages than before, it's never too early to talk about it.
