UPDATE: Suspect in custody for firing shots at Halliburton in Kilgore

KILGORE (KYTX) -

UPDATE:  30-year-old Chase Ray Alford was transported THursday from the Henderson County Jail to Gregg County where he is being held on bonds totaling $30,000.

Alford ,a former Halliburton employee is charged with deadly conduct, discharging a firearm, and aggravated assualt agaisnt a security guard.

 


 

 




UPDATE: (KYTX) - A former employee is in custody for firing shots at the Halliburton plant in Kilgore Monday night. 

Kilgore Police say 30-year-old Chase Ray Alford, of Frankston, Texas was identified as the person who committed the crime.

An arrest warrant was obtained and Mr. Alford was arrested by the Henderson County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday, 10-29-2013 at 8:45pm in Coffee City, Texas.

Alford is charged with Aggravated Assault on a Security Officer, a Felony One Offense and Deadly Conduct Discharging a Firearm a Felony Three Offense. He is currently being held in the Henderson County Jail.

Kilgore Police tell us the suspect walked up to the guard shack with a gun and convinced the guard to let him on the property. The man opened fire on some offices belonging to supervisors before getting away.

No injuries were reported.
