LONDON, October 30, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
UBM Live produced Internet World Welcomes Interop London
Today, UBM Live announces the launch of Interop London. Interop London will take the form of an IT zone within Internet World, the UK's longest running event for digital business, taking place from 17th - 19thJune 2014 at ExCeL London.
Interop London will include a dedicated Interop theatre delivering professional education surrounding issues facing businesses and professionals including network infrastructure, enterprise mobility, cloud computing, storage and security. Interop London will join the 28-year-old flagship Las Vegas event, the more recent launches in Mumbai and Tokyo, as well as the New York show, which took place in September reporting 15% visitor growth compared to the 2012 edition.
"Interop is one of UBM's leading global event brands and we're delighted to incorporate it into Internet World 2014," said Nathalie Davies, Event Manager at Internet World.
"The Interop theme of 'IT Leads, Business Succeeds' is completely inline with the message we're hearing from our audience and clients. Businesses are seeing IT and marketing roles increasingly converge towards one another, meaning that an increased IT focus for Internet World can only enhance it's existing marketing content."
Internet World launched The Big Data Show in 2013 and announced a move to ExCeL London for 2014. Internet World, including The Big Data Show and Interop London, will also be part of London Technology Week, an initiative run with London & Partners which will bring together numerous tech focused events in the UK's capital between June 16th and 20th next year.
Speaking on behalf of UBM's Tech business, Jennifer Jessup, General Manager of Interop, said: "Launching Interop London alongside other core UBM brands is a natural extension of our global IT footprint. The value proposition of London Technology Week helps us enhance the Interop offerings to the global IT market."
Interop London will also take place alongside UBM's leading security event, IFSEC International (http://www.ifsec.co.uk), providing synergies with IFSEC's growing IT security section.
Internet World, The Big Data Show, Interop London and IFSEC International will take place at ExCeL London from June 17th - 19th 2014.
