We live in the South, so some of us may have a Southern accent, but would you consider saying "goodbye" to "howdy, y'all"?
The Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee was going to offer a speech class for its workers next month to do just that, until it got canceled.

SMITH COUNTY (KYTX) - Elizabeth Hamilton left her house with only the clothes on her back. The only item missing is her driver's license.

"My car was gone. She wasn't here," said Lynn Day.

When Lynn Day woke up on the morning of October 25th, the only thing she found from her daughter was a note.

"The note said "went to go get cigs. Be right back" that's it," said Day.

More than week later, not a word from Elizabeth.

The last conversation was with her friend, Shelley Ramsey, through a text message, the morning she went missing.

"The last thing I heard from her was at 2:50 that morning, "you awake," and right before that it said, "I'm worried and I'm coming by," said Ramsey.

Shelley doesn't believe Elizabeth ever came by her house.

"I feel like I know I my friend and she doesn't disappear like this. And if she is going to take off, she would let me know," added Ramsey.

Elizabeth's mother says there was a mysterious number found in her daughter's cell phone records.

"There's a phone number on her phone log that we cannot figure out who it was. The phone call started on the 16th on October," said Day.

Lynn says that concerns her.  She knows Elizabeth had recently been speaking with someone.

"My main concern is that she's being held against her will . Possibly the worst thought a parent could ever have about her child is that somebody has committed the ultimate crime and murdered her," said Day.

From the Smith Co, Sheriff's Office:

SMITH COUNTY (KYTX) - On 10/25/13 at approximately 1:30AM 28-year-old Elizabeth Hamilton left with her mother's vehicle, a 2004 Cadillac SRX TX LP/BHZ0217, beige in color.

A note was left saying she was going to the store for cigarettes. Elizabeth has not been seen or heard from since, and her phone is turned off.

Elizabeth is about 5'5" and weighs about 115lbs. The has brown hair and brown eyes and a thin build. She has a tattoos including stars on her left wrist, a lock on her inner right forearm, and a skull tattoo on one of her calves.

Unknown what she was last wearing. Her mother Lynn Day advised she might be in Kilgore, TX or Atlanta, TX. She has been entered as missing into TCIC and the vehicle has been entered as stolen.

If you have seen her or the vehicle, please call Detective Justin Hall at the SCSO at 903-590-2696
