World's Oldest Vet Meets President

Posted: Updated:

(KCEN) -- The oldest living veteran we introduced you to last week got to meet the president today.

Over the weekend, 107-year-old Richard Overton was honored in Austin for his service during World War II.

Monday morning, he had breakfast with President Obama and Vice President Biden. He also attended the wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery.

Overton still drives and cuts his own grass. He also has a much younger 90-year-old girlfriend. He smokes about 12 cigars every day and likes his coffee with a little whiskey.
