Meth lab discovered, ETX man arrested

NACOGDOCHES CO. (KYTX) - Earlier this week the Nacogdoches County Sheriff Office seized a methamphetamine lab after conducting a search warrant on Laurel Street in the city of Nacogdoches. Sheriff Jason Bridges stated that the sheriff Office had received information of drugs being distributed out of a residence on Laurel Street.

After conducting an investigation, Sheriff Investigators gained probable cause for a search warrant for the residence. The sheriff office executed the search warrant Friday afternoon. Found at the residence was a methamphetamine laboratory.

Sheriff Bridges stated that the suspect had been manufacturing large quantities of methamphetamine from the shake and bake style meth lab inside the residence. Found and recovered at the scene were several different types of chemicals used to cook meth with and about 40 grams of methamphetamine in the process of being cooked.

Brian Molanders 26 years of age was arrested and charged with possession of chemicals with intent to manufacture a 2nd felony. Molanders was booked into the Nacogdoches County Jail.
