Update: Man shot in Longview nightclub parking lot dies from injuries

UPDATE: The victim of this crime, 22 year-old Jorge Luis Pinon-Frias of Longview, died November 20, 2013. The investigation into his murder continues.

One Man Shot in Local Nightclub Parking Lot During Attempted Robbery

On November 17, 2013 at 1:43 a.m., Longview Police were dispatched to a shooting just occurred in the parking lot of a nightclub located in the 4700 Block of West Loop 281. When officers arrived they found the victim, a 21 year-old Hispanic male in the parking lot with a gunshot wound. He was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Both suspects fled the scene prior to officers arrival. The suspects are believed to be two males. One of the suspects is believed to be approximately 5'6" tall and was possibly wearing a blue hoodie. At this time police believe the motive for this attack was robbery. If anyone has information about this crime they are asked to contact Longview Police Detective David Cheatham at 903-237-1199.
