East TX coach dies in one-vehicle accident

HUNT CO. (KYTX) - A one-vehicle accident has claimed the life of an East Texas coach.

Texas Department of Public Safety reports 51-year-old Robert William Dudley of Mineola was killed after he lost control of his 2009 Chevrolet Silverado on U.S. Hwy 69, just north of Lone Oak, TX.

Troopers say Dudley struck a culvert, veered off the roadway, overturning the pickup truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No seatbelts were worn, according to the DPS report.

Dudley was a coach for Mineola ISD and taught at Alba Golden schools.

The fatal accident occurred Sunday November 24, 2013 at 9:04 p.m.
