Templeton's arrest affidavit sheds more details on what led to the arrest of Kyron Templeton. It states, that Templeton told an officer after the alleged stabbing, that the staff at Good Shepherd Medical Center was trying to kill his mother.

Detectives interviewed a Good Shepherd employee,  who transported who is believed to be Templeton's mother, from the main hospital to ambulatory surgical center. He told detectives that Templeton was with her. After leaving them in the surgical unit, the employee went on with his duties.  The employee told investigators he was downstairs when observed a man trying to detain a black male in a room.

The employee said the black man forced his way past this man and fled the location.  The employee told investigators he recognized the man running as the son of the person he had transported earlier.  The man who had been attempting to detain the man yelled that this was the person who had stabbed the people in the surgical unit.

The fatal stabbing occurred shortly before 7 a.m. Tuesday at the Ambulatory Center on Marshall Ave. in Longview.

Templeton is being held on bonds totaling 2.6 million dollars.
