FROM THE NACOGDOCHES COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT:

GARRISON (KYTX) - The Nacogdoches County Sheriff Office has arrested two Rusk county men on charges of aggravated robbery. The Sheriff Office has been investigating an armed robbery that occurred Saturday morning around 2:30 am at a convenience store in Garrison. Two male subjects entered the store, one of which was armed with a handgun. The two suspects made off with a small amount of cash from the cash register and assaulted the clerk during the robbery. The two suspects fled the scene on foot. Deputies searched the area Saturday morning but were unable to locate the suspects.

Sheriff Investigators were called to the scene and learned that another robbery occurred in Henderson about two hours later Saturday morning that is believe to be connected. Through surveillance video from the store, sheriff investigators were able to obtain a good clothing description of both suspects who were both wearing hoods over their faces.

Through further investigation, sheriff investigators were able to positively identify one suspect Monday afternoon. A warrant for the arrest of 22 year old Gakavion Bagley was issued and he was arrested at his residence later that afternoon. Sheriff Investigators conducted a search of Bagley's residence which lead to more evidence being discovered from the robbery. Sheriff Investigators were able to identify the second suspect in the robbery as 22 year old Jaquae Fobbs. Fobbs was arrested at his residence Tuesday afternoon and both subjects were booked into the Nacogdoches County Jail. Both Subjects have been charged with Aggravated Robbery a 2nd felony.

Sheriff Bridges stated that one of the suspects has cooperated in the investigation and given a full confession to the armed robbery. The motive behind the robbery was to purchase more narcotics using the stolen money, according to one of the suspects.

The Sheriff Office is attempting to identify a possible third suspect in the case that may have been the getaway driver. From what we know, they parked their vehicle near the Garrison school. There appears to be a third suspect who stayed inside the car while the other two subjects committed the robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Nacogdoches County Sheriff Office at 936-560-7794 or Crime stoppers at 560-INFO.
