UPDATE QUITMAN, La. (KTBS) -According to KNOE, Jackson Parish Sheriff Andy Brown confirms that his department assisted in the arrest of Chris Nixon on Monday.

Jackson Parish Sheriff officials have identified 2 victims in relation to the case.

No charges have been filed in Jackson Parish against Nixon, but Brown says after follow up investigations in the case, the sheriff's office will seek more charges in the parish.

Brown confirmed Nixon is being held in the Union Parish Detention Center because the Jackson Parish Detention Center is not certified to hold those facing federal charges.

Sheriff Brown said that Nixon was asked to come to the courthouse in Jonesboro where he was arrested without incident by ICE agents. Nixon lives in North Hodge, and according to his Facebook page graduated in 2010 from Quitman High School.

Nixon is facing Production of Child Pornography charges. He is set for a detention hearing and preliminary examination on Thursday in Monroe.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE):

UPDATE: SHREVEPORT, La. — The manhunt for a "John Doe," a suspected child predator in northern Louisiana, ended late Monday, less than four hours after U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) issued a public appeal for information about his identity and whereabouts.

"John Doe" was arrested Monday evening at a residence near Jonesboro after HSI received nearly 50 tips from the public via the HSI tip line.

The arrest warrant for "John Doe" was signed Monday in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana. At that time, HSI had no information about the identity of the suspect, but based upon GPS data in two child pornography videos, investigators believed he lived in or traveled to the Jonesboro area.

All details about the arrest and the identity of "John Doe" are being withheld pending his initial appearance in federal court.

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTBS) - U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) urgently seeks the public's help to identify a suspected child pornography producer, and rescue at least one child victim, evidence indicates might be living in the local area.

HSI Shreveport obtained a "John Doe" arrest warrant Monday in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana for the unknown suspect. HSI has evidence the suspect and/or victim might live in, or travel to, the Shreveport and/or Jonesboro areas.

HSI special agents investigating the case believe "John Doe," an adult male, produced two child pornography videos using a smartphone in which he recorded himself engaging in sexual contact with a minor between 6 and 10 years old.

Canadian law enforcement officials discovered the two videos in May during a search warrant for a child exploitation investigation there. After forensic examination of the files in that predator's collection, Canadian investigators discovered two child pornography videos with GPS coordinates embedded in the files indicating they were taken in Jonesboro. The two videos, recorded Feb. 29, 2012, and March 2, 2012, were forwarded to HSI Shreveport for further investigation.

HSI Shreveport investigators were unable to identify the suspect using traditional investigative means and now request the public's assistance.

Description details are limited but authorities say that "John Doe" is believed to be approximately 18 to 20 years old, has pale skin with straight dark-brown hair over the ears, and light blue or green eyes.

In addition to public appeals, HSI Shreveport has distributed the "John Doe" information and photos to fellow law enforcement agencies and to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children in a unified effort to find the perpetrator and rescue the child.

HSI requests that anyone with information about this person contact the agency immediately by calling the 24-hour HSI Tip line at 1-866-DHS-2ICE. The public can also submit an online tip atwww.ice.gov/tips/ or by downloading the Operation Predator smartphone app and submitting a tip via the app.

All tips will remain anonymous. People should not attempt to apprehend the suspect personally.

This investigation is being conducted under HSI's Operation Predator, an international initiative to protect children from sexual predators.

HSI encourages the public to report suspected child predators and any suspicious activity through its toll-free Tip Line at 1-866-DHS-2-ICE or by completing its online tip form. Both are staffed around the clock by investigators. Suspected child sexual exploitation or missing children may be reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, an Operation Predator partner, via its toll-free 24-hour hotline, 1-800-THE-LOST.
