Web Exclusive: Brace yourself for this year's holiday traffic

(CBS) - Get ready for some traffic this holiday season. Triple A projects that sometime between Sunday and New Year's Day nearly 30% of Americans will travel 50 miles or more.
More than 90% of the estimated 94 and a half million people will be driving.

Get your lottery tickets.  Tonight's Mega Millions drawing could have a record jackpot. The prize currently stands at $586 million dollars. But projected ticket sales indicate it may break the current Mega Millions record of $656 million.  If there's no winner tonight, and the jackpot rolls over past the Friday drawing, its projected to reach one billion dollars.

The new Mercedes Benz C-class sedan will be about 4 inches longer and more than an inch wider than the current model.  The extra space will go into the rear seat and trunk.  But despite its larger size, Mercedes Benz says the C-class will weigh about 220 pounds less and is expected to be 20% more fuel efficient.   

Google's expansion into robotics continues.  The web company confirmed yesterday it bought Boston Dynamics, a military contractor that has built a variety of animal like robots.  Google has purchased 8 companies this year that specialize in robotics.
