Man Claims He's Selling Items on Behalf of Kilgore ISD, Police and School Deny It

KILGORE (KYTX) -Kate Watkins owns The Krazy Kitchen in downtown Kilgore. Friday, she says a man walked into her store selling clothes and hats with Bulldog logos. She bought some of the merchandise.

"He had scarves over his arms and bag full of toboggans"

She says people coming into her business to sell things is common. Kate says she thought nothing of it.

"Since it was for Kilgore, so I thought, I wanted to go ahead and support the school"

Kilgore Police are warning store owners, like Kate, not to purchase these items.

Investigators say the man claims to be with Kilgore ISD, and he is selling these items on behalf of the team .Kilgore Police and Kilgore ISD claim that he has no affiliation with the school

"I am just very proud of the Bulldogs, and that could take advantage of some people It makes me want to double check the next time someone comes in. Who are they selling for, and ask for an ID."
