UPDATE: An Amber Alert has been canceled by police after a 5-year-old boy who was abducted by his biological mother from his North Richland Hills residence has been located. The mother is now in custody according to authorities.

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS (CBSDFW.COM) – An Amber Alert has been issued for a 5-year-old boy who was abducted by his biological mother from his North Richland Hills residence.

Jagger Curry was taken by his non-custodial biological mother, Jennifer Lynne Echeverria, Friday morning. Authorities say Echeverria is only allowed supervised visits to see Curry, who currently lives with his maternal grandmother.

Around 8:00 a.m. on Friday, Echeverria forced her way into the grandmother's residence in the 9200 block of Glen Haven Court. The suspect threatened the resident with a weapon and demanded the child.

Echeverria left the residence with the child in a Silver Lexus.

Police are asking anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Echeverria or Curry to contact authorities immediately.
