Northeast Texas woman jailed for cutting and biting Walmart workers

TEXARKANA, TX (KTBS) - A shoplifting incident goes dangerously wrong at a Walmart in Texarkana, Texas.

Police arrested 22-year-old Quintella Brown after she alleged cut one of the store's employees with a box cutter and bit another.

It happened Tuesday afternoon at the location on New Boston Road.

Police say the altercation ensued after the employees tried to prevent Brown's 12-year-old niece and 13-year-old nephew from leaving the store with stolen merchandise.

Authorities say when employees confronted the children, Brown started swinging the box cutter. One of the employees received a wound to the chest. Brown is also accused of biting a second employee on the shoulder.

The employees were treated at the scene for their injuries.

Brown was booked into jail at the Bi-State Justice Center on the charge of aggravated robbery. Bond was set at $50,000.

Both juveniles were also charged with aggravated robbery and transported to the local juvenile detention center.
