2 North Longview Restaurants Visited by Gunman

Bradley Etheridge and his girlfriend Sharon Burnett routinely close for Cheddars in north Longview.  Early Thursday morning, that task was anything but routine. They were cleaning up an outside eating area when the gunman came out of nowhere.
"He cocked his gun and said give me all your money"
Etheridge says when it happened he was shocked but it only took him a split second to react.
"I was like oh crap, we gotta get out of here, so we ran inside."
Etheridge says it was dark, and the gunman was wearing a t-shirt around his face so he didn't see what he looked like.  But he says the man was skinny, shorter, and had tattoos all up and down his arms.
"He told us not to run, but we did. We ran inside and I had to stay by the door and keep it closed, because I couldn't lock it without the keys."
Around the same time an employee in the parking lot at chili's was robbed but police did not say exactly what was taken. We do know the description of that robber matched the one given in the incident at Cheddars.
For Burnett , she says working nights will never be the same.
"I am never going to walk out to my car by myself, and I may even start carrying some mace or something."
"Justin, I also spoke with the woman who was robbed in the Chili's parking lot shortly after the attempt at Cheddar's. She did not want to be identified. She was still shaken up but she was not injured. In Longview, Kevin Boyce, CBS 19 News."
