Facade Grants for Downtown Longview

Posted: Updated:

LONGVIEW (KYTX) - The city of Longview is inviting its downtown businesses to apply for Facade Improvement Grants. Businesses that apply can receive half of the cost of their improvement costs. Up to $20,000.

These grants are aimed at beautifying the Downtown District, and updating outer appearance of older buildings. The Longview Chamber of Commerce Main street Manager says it has been over year since a business has applied and she is wanting businesses to know that the money is there.
Main Street Manager Kayla Cantey says the work is to attract more people downtown.

"We want downtown to be a place where families can go to have fun with friends. There are so many restaurants there that this money could go for a good cause" - Kayla Cantey

To apply contact the Longview Chamber of Commerce.
