Henderson's New Year's Cleanup

Posted: Updated:

HENDERSON (KYTX) - Saturday, January 11th is the final day for the New Year's cleanup for Rusk County and the City of Henderson residents.  This is a free dump day for the city and county provided in conjunction with Keep Henderson Beautiful.   This is an opportunity for residents to clean out trash and debris left from the holidays. Residents will need to hold their items for shredding and electronic recycling until the April 5 Don't Mess With Texas Cleanup.

However, each county collection site will accept in addition to solid waste, refrigerators and freezers, stoves, air conditioners, lawn mowers, batteries and hot water heaters. The Oak Hill and Tatum sites will also accept used oil filters and oil. The city site at Highland Drive will also accept tires. The recycle center wil also be open.
