Entertainment News: Golden Globes draws nearly 21M viewers

Posted: Updated:

(CBS) - Viewers definitely did tune in for the Golden Globes on Sunday.

With Tina Fey and Amy Poehler as hosts, the awards show attracted nearly 21 million viewers.

Nielsen ratings says that's a jump of more than a million from the year before and a 10 year high.

Fey and Poehler have already signed on to host the globes again next year.

(CBS) - Another brush with the law for Kanye West.

Police in Beverly Hills say he is a suspect in a physical altercation at an office building.

An unnamed victim said the rapper attacked him and took off. Authorities say several witnesses also identified West as the suspect.

There are reports West and his fiance Kim Kardashian were in the building for an appointment.

(CNN) - Beyonce is speaking out about women's rights.

The pop diva recently wrote an essay for the Shriver Report entitled "Gender Equality Is A Myth."

In it she says in part, "men have to demand that their wives, daughters, mothers, and sisters earn more-commensurate with their qualifications and not their gender."

Beyonce's words come as no surprise.

On her latest album she featured a well-known Nigerian writer giving a Ted talk about feminism.

(CNN) - Oprah Winfrey proves she's not afraid to get her hands dirty.

Her best friend Gayle King posted this on Instagram showing the media mogul apparently fixing a toilet at one of her homes.

The caption read, "stars, they are just like us. Oprah at her other job, plumber."
