Grand Jury indicts man accused of killing his wife at an ETX motel

MARSHALL (KYTX) - The man accused of killing his estranged wife in a Marshall Motel room has been indicted by a Harrison County Grand Jury.

Brad Dunn is charged with stabbing 31-year-old Kari Dunn to Death in December 2013.

Family members say the attack occurred near the couples 3 children.

According the arrest affidavit, hotel management confirmed Brad Dunn rented that room at 9 Sunday morning, but by the time police showed up, he and one of his three children were nowhere to be found.

A witness staying in a hotel room nearby told police they heard children screaming in the hall between 10 and 11 a.m.

The witness says after the children said, "I think my dad is killing my mom," the witness started beating on the door to Dunn's room.

They say that's when a man opened the door, grabbed 4-year-old Kylie Dunn, and ran out of the hotel.

After hearing the witness account, law enforcement set off an amber alert.  Brad Dunn was tracked down in Cass County hours later, with Kylie safe in the car.  He was arrested and Kylie was returned to relatives.

A court date has not been set. Dunn remains in the Harrison County Jail on a $5 million dollar bond.
