Dr. Northcutt named Good Shepherd Foundation Board Life Member

LONGVIEW (KYTX) - One of Longview's most well-known doctors accepted a first-of-its-kind honor from a local hospital.
 
Dr. W.D. Northcutt has served on Good Shepherd Health System's Foundation Board since 1991 -- and was instrumental in building the James Ray Northcutt memorial entryway at Good Shepherd Medical Center.

Today, the foundation board named Dr. Northcutt the first life director of the board.

"I didn't know this until I started looking at the bio information that he actually served on City Council from 83 to 87, and was mayor pro tem," Board Chairman Keith Honey said in presenting the award to Dr. Northcutt and his family.

Over several decades, Dr. Northcutt also given to Gregg County's historical foundation and museum, the Landmarks of Longview home tour and the annual Longfellows Debutante Ball.
