Web Exclusive: Google Glass going stylish

Posted: Updated:

(CNN) - If you wrote off Google's new wearable computer as looking too geeky, the tech giant's vision for Google Glass is coming in to focus!

This morning (Tuesday), Google lifted the curtain on a line of stylish frames and prescription lenses for the gadget.  It's Google's latest attempt to make its connected eyewear more appealing to the public.  Frames will cost between $150 and $225 bucks a piece, plus the cost of lenses if you need a prescription.  You'll also have to buy the Google Glass device itself, which retails for about $1,500 dollars.

Users can attach or remove the actual Google Glass computer device from the frames as needed. Google says its glass hardware can record video and gives users hands-free access to emails, directions and the internet.

Apple is losing some of its bite.  The world's most valuable company sold a record number of iPhones and iPads during the last quarter, but sales fell short of analysts' expectations.
Apple announced its earnings after the closing bell yesterday and its stock fell almost 8 % to $506 dollars per share in extended trading.  Apple hit a high of $700 dollars per share a year and a half ago.

Tickets are not as hot for Sunday's first cold-weather Super Bowl.  According to Stubhub, the average re-sale price on the secondary market for the Broncos-Seahawks face-off is more than $3,000 dollars. That price has dropped more than a third since last weekend.  The cheapest price for nosebleed seats is still over a thousand dollars.
