KILGORE (Kilgore News Herald)  -- The intersection of Woodlawn and U.S. Hwy. 259 has claimed another 18-wheeler – the vehicle is currently stuck on its side on the northwest corner of the crossing.

The Red River Transport truck is reportedly full of liquid propane gas. As of 3:30 p.m. residents of several homes closest to the wreck were being asked to evacuate as a precaution.

Emergency responders are redirecting traffic around the wreck amid the ongoing dismissal of students from Kilgore ISD' snearby middle and primary school campuses.

The 18-wheeler's driver was apparently uninjured in the 2 p.m. rollover. A crane is being dispatched to the site. Kilgore Assistant Fire Chief Mike Simmons says he anticipates clean-up could continue as late as 9 p.m.

Until the area is cleared, southbound traffic on 259 is being re-routed west on Harris Street then south on Broadway. Traffic on Woodlawn is being diverted onto Martin Street.

KYTX CBS19 has a crew on the way to the scene. We'll bring you more information as it becomes available.
