Update: Police recover stolen truck in Kilgore armed robbery, 2 robbers still at large

UPDATE: According to KPD Assistant Chief Roman Roberson, a short time ago KPD recovered the stolen truck. It was found unoccupied in a parking lot.


 

KILGORE (KYTX) - Police are looking for two men who robbed Xino Converters (recycling center), in Kilgore Thursday morning.

Upon arrival, an employee at the recycling center told police officers two masked men had just entered the business and robbed him of a large amount of cash. One of the two men pointed a hand gun at him and the other tied him up.

The two suspects then fled the scene by stealing the employee's vehicle.

The truck stolen is a tan Chevrolet Z71 pickup, Texas License plate # BC8 9518. The truck has ranch hand bumper guards on the front and back.

Both suspects had their faces covered by mask during the hold-up.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information in regards to this crime can contact Detective Tim Dukes at 903-983-1559. You can give information anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 903-236-STOP. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000.00 for information leading to the arrest of the person(s) responsible for this crime. Anonymous information may also be submitted through the Kilgore Police Department's Website, facebook page or tip411.

The robbery took place at 300 Harris St. in Kilgore.
