We live in the South, so some of us may have a Southern accent, but would you consider saying "goodbye" to "howdy, y'all"?
The Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee was going to offer a speech class for its workers next month to do just that, until it got canceled.

UPDATE: Tyler Transit resumes service this morning at 7 a.m. after a weather delay. City of Tyler representatives tell us bus routes are back up and running this morning.

(KYTX) - The City of Tyler Transit Department will delay service Wednesday morning until at least 7 a.m. due to winter weather. An evaluation of road conditions will be made at that time to determine when service will be resumed.

Riders are urged to check the City website here or the City's social media sites on Facebook and Twitter (City of Tyler, Texas Government) for the latest information.

Service was suspended 30 minutes early on Tuesday night because of icy roads.

"The safety of our passengers and our drivers is our first priority," said Department Leader Guillermo Garcia. "We will be on the road at the earliest opportunity once we have determined it is safe to drive."

City road crews have been out since this afternoon sanding bridges. However, roads remain very slick and residents are urged to remain at home if possible. There have been reports of slushy and wet roads that are expected to freeze as the temperature drops overnight.

"If you don't need to be out driving, I advise you to stay put until the road conditions improve," said Police Chief Gary Swindle.
