Traffic stops in Nacogdoches County leads to three arrest

NACOGDOCHES CO. (KYTX) - The Nacogdoches County Sheriff office has arrested three people on drug charges after conducting two different traffic stops.

Sheriff Jason Bridges stated that deputies stopped a Chevy Malibu for a traffic offense last night around 11:50 pm on highway 59 North in Garrison Texas for a traffic offense.

When speaking with the driver of the vehicle deputies could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Deputies conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle which lead to the discovery of 2lbs of Hydro Marijuana found concealed inside the car.

The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, 30-year-old Brooke Johnson from Conroe, Texas was arrested at the scene and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail. Johnson was charged with possession of marijuana a state jail felony.


 

Thursday morning around 6:50 am deputies conducted a traffic stop on Loop 224 at Highway 21 west.  The vehicle was occupied by a male and female.

Deputies could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and both subjects were very nervous. Deputies conducted a probable cause search of the motor vehicle. During the search deputies found One pound of hydro marijuana, 413 grams of ecstasy pills, 421 grams of PCP, and 1,527 grams of Xanax that was concealed inside the motor vehicle.

40-year-old Andre Davis, 39-year-old Rena Fontenot both from Longview, Texas were arrested at the scene and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail. Both were charged with three counts of   possession of a controlled substance a 1st felony and possession of marijuana a state jail felony.
