Nacogdoches Police officers recover stolen property

(Nacogdoches, Tx) -  Two people are in custody and are charged with narcotic offenses.

Officers with the Nacogdoches Police Department's Street Crimes Unit were conducting a follow up investigation on information about stolen property. The investigation led them to 2901 Douglas Rd/State Highway 21 West.

Officers contacted resident Martin Dorsett, 52, and received consent to search the property. Officers recovered stolen stereo equipment from a Garrison burglary. Dorsett and Jenny Myers, 32, were also found to be in possession of Methamphetamine and Marijuana. Dorsett was charged with State Jail Felony Possession of Methamphetamine and Myers was charged with State Jail Felony Possession of Methamphetamine and Class B Possession of Marijuana.

The NPD Criminal Investigation Division and the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Department also assisted with the investigation.
