LONGVIEW (KYTX) - Last night, this was the scene, after a body was found in a creek on Pegues Street in Longview. Police aren't sure who it is but this family insists the man found was 32-year old Gaylon Bradley. They say police described the same tattoos on the body found, that match Bradley's.
"He tried to blend in with everybody, and I think he got involved with the wrong person and they hurt him"
Bradley's mom Phyllis Johnson says Bradley's grandmother lives in the neighborhood. And has friends there too.
"Police say a group of 10 year olds were playing soccer in this field to my right, and the ball rolled into this creek. When the kids went in after it, they found the body." - Kevin Boyce
Longview Police aren't ready to release many details at this time.
"At this point the autopsy is being performed and we will know the time of death, how long the body was there, and more probably by Monday"
Johnson says she wasn't able to see the body that was pulled from the creek last night, but she says she is certain it is Bradley.
"Until we are able to roll the prints on Monday we won't know for sure" - Kristine Brian, Longview Police Department
Bradley is blind, and suffers from a mental condition. His family says because he was blind, he trusted many people.
"For our family, if you know anything please come forward"
Answers that can't come soon enough.
