ARCADIA, LA (KTBS) -

A traffic stop led to a major drug bust and two arrests in Bienville Parish Saturday morning.

A Louisiana State Trooper stopped a 2014 Ford F-150 for a traffic violation on Interstate 20 east near mile marker 59 west of Arcadia.

The driver, 30-year-old Corey Samuel of Houston, Texas, gave consent to search the vehicle. During the search, Troopers found approximately 62 pounds of marijuana with an approximate street value of $93,000.

Samuel was placed under arrest and charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and conspiracy to distribute marijuana.

A passenger in the vehicle, 42-year-old Kerry Taylor of Houston, Texas, was also placed under arrest on the same charges.

Samuel and Taylor were booked into the Bienville Parish Jail.  If convicted, each man faces up to 30 years in prison and up to $150,000 in fines.
