(TYLER MORNING TELEGRAPH) - Former personal trainer and reserve Whitehouse police officer Reginald Wilson has been arrested for two counts of auto burglary for allegedly breaking into vehicles belonging to members of Wood Creek Athletic Club on South Broadway Avenue in Tyler while they were working out.

Tyler police confirmed they have arrested Wilson, who surrended to authories Sunday on two warrants for auto burglary. Tyler police said video evidence made the case against Wilson very strong. They obtained that evidence from the victim, who believed he had been the victim of burglary at the health club previously. As a result of that belief, the victim set up video cameras inside his vehicle.

Wilson, a former Whitehouse police reserve officer, was forced to resign and turn in his badge and gun to Whitehouse police. He has since been released on bonds and awaits trial.

Wood Creek management says they have terminated Wilson, who was a contracted personal trainer.
