We live in the South, so some of us may have a Southern accent, but would you consider saying "goodbye" to "howdy, y'all"?
The Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee was going to offer a speech class for its workers next month to do just that, until it got canceled.

Tyler (KYTX) -- A follow up to a story we brought you last night about a personal trainer and reserve police officer arrested for breaking into the cars of gym members. Staff say gyms can be an easy target for crooks-- but there are ways to protect your things.

"Who would ever have thought somebody is going to get your key, go out of the gym, and go into your vehicle and burglarize it," David Spivey, a member of the Wood Creek Athletic Club, said.

Spivey didn't think his personal trainer, Reginald Wilson, would be the person caught in the act. But when video was turned over to Tyler Police, Wilson was arrested and charged with two counts of Burglary to a Vehicle.

Some gyms like XTC Fitness and Sports in Tyler have added security cameras outside in response to smash-and-grab crimes.

"I hate that the world is not always the best place, but we try to take our precautions to make sure that doesn't happen to our members and our people," Colby Vantassel, General Manager at XTC, said.

At most gyms there are lockers for people who don't trust valuables in the car. At XTC, only you know the combination.

"We do not have internal locks on our lockers we've set those up so people can bring their own locks," Vantassel said.

Wilson was a contracted personal trainer with Wood Creek and has since been let go from the gym, and as a reserve officer with Whitehouse Police.
