ETX Volunteer firefighter killed in three vehicle wreck

PANOLA CO (KYTX) - A 19-year-old Timpson volunteer firefighter was killed Monday night in a three vehicle accident in Panola County.

Department of Public Safety Trooper Jean Dark says Jordan LeBlanc of Center was struck head-on by a vehicle driven by Jackie Price of Spring, Texas. Price veered into LeBlanc's lane. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.

Trooper Dark said the LeBlanc's car was forced into another vehicle driven by Crystal McClendon of Bastrop.

The fatal wreck occurred at 9 p.m. Monday on Hwy. 59 at  County Rd. 4251 in Panola County.

Funeral services for LeBlanc are set for 11 a.m. Friday at the First United Pentecostal Church in Center.

According to his obituary,  (Watson and Sons Funeral Home) Jordan was a member of the Timpson Volunteer Fire Department having received the "Rookie of the Year" Award in 2013.
